What steps are involved?
Step 1

Uses a medication which block the effect of progesterone- a hormone who support the pregnancy.

Step 2

Uses another medication which make abortion occurs Crampy abdominal pain and bleeding will happens and will be less once product of pregnancy has passed. We strongly recommend you to be in a safe place and rest as much as possible. Some people may need pain killer and anti-nausea medication in first 24 hours.

What to expect during procedure:

After taking second tablet you will experience following:

  • Pain– period like pain usually start within half an hour and it’s stronger than normal period pain. We recommend massage, heat pack and NSAID anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen.

  • Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea and headaches. Our doctor will prescribe some anti-nausea drug for you in case you experience nausea and vomiting.

  • Bleeding – within few hours and heavier than normal period and you may pass clot.in some cases irregular bleeding may last up to 4 weeks or longer.

Complication:

Generally complication are rare but its important to know this procedure is not without risk.

Some of these include;

  • Ongoing bleeding

  • Ongoing pain due to an infection

  • Retained product of pregnancy

  • Very heavy vaginal bleeding requiring treatment – very rare

In rare cases medication may not work and pregnancy may continue or part of the fetus may remain which may need more medication or a surgical abortion.

Who should not try Medical termination of pregnancy?

After Procedure:

Dr Marashi graguated from a reputable university in Iran in 2007  and subsequently persued a formal training in the field of Ostetric and Gynecology in multiple hospitals in Iran and practiced in the field for 5 years.

Dr Mahjabin has completed a course in skin cancer detection and gained a certicate of Dermoscopy from Skin Cancer College of Australia in 2002.

She worked along with other experienced practitioner in the field of skin cancer and Dermatology and gained immense knowledge and experience in the field of Skin cancer medicine.

She has extensive knowledge and years of experience in the field of women’s health and skin cancer medicine.

She migrated to Australia in 2018 and gained numerous Australian qualifications and perused a career in General Practice.

She strongly believes in holistic approach in healthcare and provides comprehensive care to her patients.

Dr Mahjabin is well known for her gentle technique in Cervical screening and IUD insertion and has helped many patients with difficult cervical screening.
